I really love these books, and I can say that I really connected with the narrator, and I think that these books have changed my whole way of thinking of the world. It's full to the brim with mystery, love, etc, I can say that this is my absolute favorite! I haven't read the books for a few years, but recently I came across it again, and decided to reread them for sentimental reasons, and I was even more thrilled then the first time I read the books! I cried, I was filled with the tension of the story, and I just couldn't stop reading! I am definitely sharing this site with others!

It is a beautiful and touching novel both in format and context. Only one who has personally experienced the various levels of consciousness, understands the struggles of the conflicted self, and the striving of the human soul can capture these in words and present it in coherent thoughts.

Serein is not a fiction. It is a fictionalized truth. I found myself identifying with all the characters at various levels, and feeling great compassion for the character of Lucian. Although I wished Lucian and Isca could have resolved their problems...and "live happily ever after" as we are, in fairy tales, conditioned to aspire, the ending was most appropriate because it preserved the individuality of both Lucian and Isca. Thank you Ms. Hartman for the insights you shared.
