Ralph Mayhew was an early 20th-century American publisher and innovator best known for creating the Bubble Books series. He worked as an employee at Harper & Brothers (later Harper Columbia) and patented the innovative children\'s books with embedded records on August 17, 1917 (patent no. 1,236,333).

What\'s the best way to clean them?

REPLY: I use a very mild dishwashing soap, like Dawn, on a wet paper towel, while being very careful to keep it away from the paper label. I wipe only in the direction of the grooves, not across them. And then I use another one to wipe off any remaining soap. Hope that helps!
