I am a 72-year-old college student who would like to know more about Buddhism. I would like to request an audience with someone (on a one-to-one basis) to do an interview about Buddhism. I am currently studying world religions and my current topic of study is Buddhism. I was exposed to what I believed was some form of Buddhism over 4 decades ago when I was a member of Self-Realization Fellowship based in Los Angeles, California (founded by Paramahansa Yogonanda). I would appreciate a response to my request, regardless of your decision. Namaste, and Blessings.

Yesterday I was intending to come to your place as I had read about your asian food sampling and wanted to try it and also to see the monks. Somehow I went to the SGI-USA Buddist center by mistake, which was no easy task as I was traveling by bus from the NE part of Las Vegas. I was dismayed because I thought I had come on the wrong day or something, but they were eating so I joined them, even though I surprised them with my presence - obviously no one knew me there. But, a child did approach me and asked me where to find the water. I directed him to the obvious person but he got distracted from his path by an attractive bag of chips that was being handed to him by mistake. I was watching him and re-directed his attention to the water of his original desire and all was good. My interupted direction was good but I do still want to see your meditation center, if I may. Food is not not the real intention. I am an atheist but I seek to understand the and inquire about the Buddist non- violence protest philosophy and hope that you may direct me on that path. I am not sure that I have anything to offer you but my interest and respect. For decades I have had an admiration for eastern thought and specifically, the Tao and understand there is some connection to buddism in that regard. Thought, being the key to the translation. I hope to come to your place sometime at a convenient time for you. I move back to Michigan soon for the hot months as that is where I belong and desire to be and hope to see you before I leave. Thanks for your attention. I told my facebook friends that I was looking for the Buddist center but went to the Wong one. \"\" Sincerely, Gill
