Young has 'right attitude' after struggles
LONDON, July 19 (UPI) --
British pop singer Paul Young says he has the "right attitude" despite losing his wife, fortune and career during the last few years.
The 52-year-old singer said he's intent on maintaining a positive outlook even though he was divorced from his wife Stacey in 2006, lost most of his money in a property deal that soured and his music career has faltered, the Daily Mail reported Saturday.
"It's been a hard last couple of years," Young said. "But it got to New Year and I just said to myself, 'New year, new attitude. Good things don't come unless you have the right attitude and I'm very happy now.'"
Young said re-releasing his 1983 album "No Parlez" this year has helped him look back on his former fame and share it with his 12-year-old son Grady and daughters Levi, 21, and Layla, 14, the British newspaper said.
"I still can't believe it was 25 years ago," he said. "I mean, 25 years is half my life. I look at my kids and I don't think they believe I was even in my 20s once."
