Same child in both photos. Curly hair, same collar. So date must be wrong on one of them.

The description for this photograph relating to Pritchards states that they were located on the corner of Stockport Road and Bulkeley Road. Their premises were actually located on Bulkeley Road. The three terraced houses numbered 54, 56 and 58 Stockport Road, which are on the corner of Stockport and Bulkeley Roads were built before 1900 so Pritchards were never on the corner.

Whilst looking at the photo collection I was thrilled to see pictures of my Grandmother Annie Scragg (born 1893) and her Sister Molly that I\'d not seen before , the picture of the children of France\'s street was one.
Is there anyone on the site who are desendants of the Scraggs (or the Ridgeways) my Gt Grandmother worked in the asylum and my Gt Grandfather worked as a carpenter for the building firm / undertakers - he was one of 13 Scragg children
Thanks

I wondered if anyone had any pictures of the area of Mill Lane by Micker Brook? I used to love going there with a friend in the 1980\'s. On the corner of Mill Lane / Wilmslow Road was a round stone, which I now think was possibly from the old mill?? Anyhow, I would love to see the area again in pics if anyone would be so kind as to post some. I was saddened that the area seems to have been redeveloped nowadays and a cemetery has been built there. It used to be very pretty during the summer months. Great photos of Chealde area on here. A lovely village.

Interestingly, one of your 1950\'s archive photographs of Cheadle Green showing Bullocks showroom (Ref. 688) also shows (with the help of the zoom feature) the wrongly spelt \'Altringham\' road sign on the Ockleston Memorial. I think most residents around at that time had spotted this, but it was never corrected as far as I am aware.

Also, I wonder if anyone else remembers that many years ago, probably the late 1950\'s, Donald Campbell\'s Bluebird boat was briefly on display in Cheadle. I suspect the boat was displayed at various locations in the UK to promote interest and raise cash. The display location in Cheadle was the James Bullock motor showroom at Cheadle Green. I am almost certain this was the newly built jet powered K7 boat in which Sir Donald later lost his life.
