Hello Katherine, i`m Susanne and i`m an Transsexuall on my Way to an woman. I own the movie "Transamerica" and think, it`s great. Also, sometimes i think, Transsexualls are maybe also an kind of Hermaphrodites, because they seem to find out, that the genetics of Transsexualls are female and the brains too. So maybe, there is not an so big difference between us. The only difference is, that Hermaphrodites also have more an Body between the genders.
I also have an Internetsite, but its in German. My Grandfather and my Grandmother come from America, they life in New Yersey and Florida.

I admire your strength and courage . Im currently a student in the field of social work and I am pursuing the issues of the LGBT community and all they entail, your story is very moving and moved me very much.

I wanted to say that your story touched me and opened up my eyes about a world I had only glimpsed into as a curious child in the 70's looking at my dad's porno books and seeing what I had no idea was an "intersexed" women. I believe her name was Vanessa Del Rio, none the less it stayed with me and a sense of trauma followed. As I have grown and become a mother my teens asked me about "Lady Gaga" and her coming out, of being gay and of course of being "intersexed". I did not have an answer other than to pray for her. In reality as I scrolled down your page and found the family tree of Protestant, I found myself as a Catholic wanting to be more for your sake as well as my girls. I sat down and showed them your website and we all smiled that true love prevailed and God of course too, but most of all your trials and horrors were all worth you opening the eyes of all of us. I recently saw the film TransAmerica in class, a I am a Sociology major studying Family Trends. I was both moved and stirred by the film. I am now considering a new career focus. I came across your website by mistake but I read through each page, as I experienced deep compassion similar to that which I felt watching TransAmerica. I wish I could apologize for the cruelty that you must have endured throughout your life, as well as wipe away the false ideas and beliefs that most people have about that which they are quite simply ignorant about. I feel that I have been experiencing some quite drastic reality checks lately. There is a sociological term that I now use for these experiences rather than "aha moments" or "bright moments". It may not fit perfectly but AMS or Autonomous Moment of Self-Criticism is defined as when you suddenly understand the system for what it really is.
I am delighted to have discovered your site and read your story. I feel like a better person for simply knowing just a little about you and your life.
