The Association is now in a position to announce the plans to mark the 70th anniversary of the sinkings.
For sometime the association has talked of placing a memorial to HMS Prince of Wales and HMS Repulse, but due to lack of funds has not been in a position to do this.
The 10th December 2011 marks the 70th anniversary and the association have commissioned a memorial to be placed at the National Memorial Arboretum in Staffordshire on the 10th December. The memorial will be dedicated to all the men who served on the ships in recognition of what they gave on our behalf.
The association has started a fundraising campaign to raise the £12,000 needed.
