Owners are protected by 718.203 of the Florida Statutes that states the developer and/or his selected general contractor are responsible for performing the repairs under the statutory warranty provided to each purchaser.
These warranties generally expire after five years from the time the development is turned over to the owners. Know what you are buying and make sure you’ve taken steps to protect your investment.
