Sorry, I just couldn't resist.
Love that movie, especially the takeoff on old movie cliches.
According to what I have seen of the archaeological record I don't think the camel was domesticated back in the bronze age. The first people I know of to ride camels were the Aramaeans who overran the Middle East back in the 10th century B.C..
I'm disappointed my joke in the OP has met with no response. I'd try another "camel joke" but I'm dry.
However, if this is how my humour is treated on the forum I may have to desert you.
I would say that was Just Deserts, you can lead a camel to water but you cant make it drink
The correct quotation is the following:
"A Camel can take you to water but a Pencil must be led (lead)"
It could also be "A camel can take you to water, but it might not leave you any."
Face it, Paint Dog, these jokes are going on by themselves. And definitely your posts are appreciated!
Once I had a camel but one day it vanished in smoke...
What do you call a camel with three humps?
Keep 'em coming guys. Most amusing.
A camel - "a thing that eats dates". Stan Laurel
What did the camel tow?
The Sheik's spear
What's more dangerous than a locked room full of angry Narns?
One angry Narn, with the key!
Old 'Babylon 5' joke, got nothing to do with camels but I liked it.
