The 24th was at the time the Warwickshire regiment and only became the south wales borderers after the Zulu war. The ranks of the 24th were filled after Isandlwana from the u.k , the Devon and Cornwall light infantry volunteered en masse to fill the ranks and transfer to the 24th(to avenge their countrymen) ,where they saw out the remainder of their service.The Welsh regiment thing is just another ZULU inaccuracy.
