Unfortunately this appears not to be clear cut. According to uniform regulations, the cuirassier trumpeters should have worn green uniform jackets, no cuirasses of course, red epaulattes and white horsehair manes to their helmets.
However, at least one source indicates that they actually wore reversed colours ie: red jackets with blue cuffs, white or silver epaulettes and the white horsehair mane. There is information to this effect at: http://centjours.mont-saint-jean.com/detail_uniteFR.php?rubrique=O&unite=114
Given the disruption to uniform supplies in the 100 days I would be inclined to say that it may well have been that the conventional regulation green jacket did not appear. Red may well have been the trumpeter uniform.
