I tell people my first set of toy soldiers was the Airfix WW1 French that I probably got when I was 7, and I still believe it was one of the best sets ever made. Truth is though that I had a number of toy soldiers when I was younger. In those days you could pick up plastic toy soldiers cheap at 5&10 cent stores.
