This is a fascinating list and no one who participates in this forum should lack for things to watch online or on DVD for a very long time. It also is the longest thread I remember (cerainly have followed) while reading the posts at this forum.
I wonder if "Waterloo" and "Zulu"--both fine movies-- top the list because they seem to have been designed (in scale and subject) for wargamers/diarama makers, but then there are three movies/series in the top ten dealing with the Normany invasion.
One note: I think that you have the movies "Battleground" and "Downfall" listed twice, and if the results were added together, they would each move up a notch.
One movie that I could not vote for, because it only is available in America (I think) as You Tube clips is the 1992 Pierre Schoendoerffer film, "Dien Bien Phu." It looks great from the clips and movie stills, but I wonder if anyone from France/Europe has seen it or has any thoughts about it.
While it "officially" falls outside of the Hat date range, all the WWII equipment and uniforms worn by the French forces get one to thinking....
Many thanks on behalf of all of your followers.
I think we should do "worst war movies ever" at some point, but the forumers (and you) probably need a break.
