First, you buy a pool table as a multi purpose base. Second, you buy a large house with a big enough basement for the table. Then you buy two pieces of rigid 5cm thick building insulation, each piece 60 cm x 240 cm (2' x 8'). Lightweight, easily replaceable, and storable as well. With more than one set, you can have different geograhical terrain types.
