first of all, my comment was not directed at your comment personally, it rather had to do with the various pro-retailer shops and contra-retailer shop discusions -often heated- I've had with friends at various times. Some of them went straight for the internet, because they did not want to support a shop that -according to them- had been ripping them off or made them waiting for too long during the pre-internet days. I belong to the other tribe, the kind that loves starting discussions in shops with both sellers and clients (though I'm not sure that everyone of them likes my idea).
Your example about other hobbies, such as fishing, is a good one and should have been posted earlier, for it demonstrates a general worldwide trend, not noticed by people who do NOT have another hobby.
One think that I just thought off, that works AGAINST HaT being abbundant in retail shops: TOO MANY sets. The only retailer that has many HaT sets in Athens, usually imports a minimum number of each, just to satisfy the X number of customers (me and some others, that is) with 1-2 items of each set. After that, he almost never brings in older sets, as he is usually expecting many of the new ones - his shelves are limited, and half of it is already taken by HaT products. The only sets to be found in quantity, are the old HaT, such as the nap russian artillery, that not many people want.
thanks mate, comparing to the general situation, I'm rather well. At least I can afford new paints, and the crisis is an opportunity for starting painting some sets, in stead of just stocking them. Though the heat does not help. Hope you are well too.
