I've recently addressed my long-ignored Austrian Napoleonics & in the last week made some good progress.

The excellent HaT Landwehr, sitting unpainted on my desk since a purchase several months ago, have had a first of several battalions painted. These beauties represent the Styrian Landwehr & their green coats, white facings and unusual flag will bring a welcome change to the serried ranks of mostly white-coated infantry in the KK.

Additionally, I am well advanced in converting the despised Airfix Napoleonic British hussars into Austrian ones.

These figures, with their big heads & impossible horses are benefitting from a head swop with spare Zvesda voltiguers & being placed on suitable horses from the ever-useful Italeri French staff set. They are resplendant in green & red as the Ott hussars.

Unfortunately, comittments to other conflicts (Punic Wars & WW2) mean it may be some time before the Austrians grace a wargames' table. But when the time comes, they will be ready.
