Pre sold stuff and Huts

Hi gang, I am new here. I have a couple of questions I hope someone can help me with.
1) I see alot of sets that are not being sold yet, but many of you have been able to get prior to release, I assume to paint. I would like to paint some pre-released sets and was wondering how I would go about that.
2) I am in the process of working with my colonials and was wondering if anyone new where I could get some huts or the best way to create some huts.
I hope I did this right and thanks everyone for your help in advance.
