It should be pointed out while we are at it that there
are also areas of European Wars that have been ignored
by 1/72 manufacvtureres. If you want to recreate the
Battle of the Boyne, or Culloden, or any of the SUN
KING's wars you are out of luck. The Ottoman campaigns
in eastern Europe were very important but almost
ignored. The siege of Malta was both important and
very dramatic, but there are no Knights of Malta sets
either. So perhaps we Americans shouldn't feel too put
out by being underrepresented.
I would think the ACW would be popular, but there
still a lot of swets that could be made - dismounted
cavalry units, Iron Brigade, heavy siege artillery,
Confederate guerillas, Union and Confederate Zouaves
(I think the Hat set was a pretty poor effort), camp
scenes, civilians, slaves and fugitive slaves, all
come quickly to mind.
