marching is good (wargamer speaking here), but I like firing lines. Figures I personally use least is the advancing pose - and that is partly because it is not often doen well (too much like a sideways crab motion, with the head turned 90 degrees to the body).

So, 8 figure set - 4 marching, two firing, two loading

12 figure set - 4 marching, two firing, two loading, 2 advancing, 2 "speciality" officers etc.

With the marching, two different poses works really well (actually, different poses work well for all types - avoids teh robot look).

MAC is best, but I accept it will not be practical/financially viable for all boxes.
