This solution sound better.
a set without firing figure is useless for me, I can't build an army (for wargame)with only columns marching or soldiers standing/marching, and when there is enough firing figure I use the standing/marching figures in the background.
I can also deepen the firing line/column :
1st row : firing/kneeling
2nd row : firing/standing
3rd row : reloading
4th row : standing
5th row and others : others poses
I bet that those wanting mostly marching figure can also use the firing ones.
