Advancing poses are usefull both for an advancing unit, as well as for a firing/loading one, as for some secs, soldiers holded their muskets ahead. So I wouldn't like to see them downgraded. Also, a firing unit is nice inly if it is in line, while both marching AND advancing men can be decently arrnaged in a column. Third, anyone having bought sets from other manufacturers, has loads of firing poses, half of them kneeling, while advancing ones are few, and marching ones are simply collactables.
So, for an 8-fig sprue this is my vote:
a. marching 3
b. advancing 3
c. firing/loading 2
(for purist 'macrhers' this could become 4/2/2
For a 12-fig sprue:
a. marching 5
b. advancing 4
c. firing/loading 3
(or, alternatively, 4/5/3)
