I have switch from Humbrol Enamels to Vallejo Model Colour Acrylics much better to paint with smooth and good coverage, huge range of colours, quick drying, easy to clean brushes, they come in eyedropper bottles, less lightly to crack and smell quite nice.
The downside they need a lot of shaking but so do Enamels.
Vallejo's acrylic metallic's although okay, I would try their excellent Alcohol based metallic paints, just don't thin them with water as they will go rusty.
Vallejo washes are good black and sepia being the most useful.
Vallejo Primer is good comes in about 8 colours although you still need to wash your figures really well.
Napoleonic blue uniforms you could try Vallejo Dark Prussian Blue (050) which is a very dark blue or Intense Blue (052) a medium/dark blue or Ultramarine blue (055) medium blue then use a dark wash.
Finally I have heard Reaper paints are excellent and now come in the same eyedropper bottles but went for Vallejo because their easy to find in the UK.
