german ww2 paratroopers have been badly let down...
the esci set is nice looking but has terrible poses, the revell one it the other way round, having nice poses but horrible engineering. at least the airfix one is decent even if it's not that great.
anyway i won't call the esci paratroopers "the worst set", they have some use, at least for building a little diorama.
one of the worse sets is the italian infantry by atlantic: poses are bad, sculpting isn't good, and the accuracy is non-existant (it's even hard to understand for which years it's meant).
other atlantic sets weren't as bad, the far west serie is full of charm, it's historically inaccurate but depicts perfectly the idea italian people had of the far west in the '70s.
ww2 sets from atlantic are rather bad, but some figures can have some uses. I still use the russian figures with ushanka, but never used those helmeted and the officer.
anyway most atlantic sets are quite in demand nowadays amongst italian colectors, so watch out before trashing them
