Re: WW1 want list limited to realistic WW1 choices
Everyone correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't Hat planning at least two or three sets of WWI Italian Infantry, with the generic infantry set to include conversion-ready heads with caps? Can anyone find evidence of this on Hat's website, or am I hallucinating?
BTW, the Italians initially wore the "baretta" cap in combat in 1915 against the Austrians but were already switching to Adrian helmets later that year. By 1916, a licensed model was being produced in Italy, which was in place for the rest of the war and for later years. In contrast, their Austrian opponents didn't generally adopt helmets until 1917 (and even then mostly on the Italian Front and not on the Eastern Front).
