On your rare US aircraft page you have a B-17 labeled as the XB-38.
The XB-38 was equipped with four Allison engines, the same model that was in the P-38. The one and only aircraft burned in an accident.
The aircraft you have pictured is a post-war, civillian owned B-17 fire bomber (look closely at the bomb-bay, you will see the protruding hopper) re-engined with Rolls Royce Dart engines.
Thank you for spotting that incorrect designation. I will have it replaced ASAP with the correct aircraft. Rare Aircraft has over 1,000 photos... so mistakes can happen. Thanks for the sharp eye!
