I just reviewed all the recent messages about Suede's fabulous Women's
Week shows for the first time since returning home from same. What a
wonderful and well-deserved brace of trophies you have all posted! To have
been a small cog in "team Suede" this past weekend is a great privilege.
Very few performers are as present and in the moment as this hugely
generous and deeply involved woman. When she tells her audience how
meaningful it is to her that it is they and they alone who have allowed her
to continue one more time to do the thing that she loves best, it truly comes
from the heart. These two shows were self-produced, and they were
class all the way. Suede is not only an incredible musical talent, but more
than that, she respects and admires her fans and works very hard, indeed,
to give them the best possible venue with all the attributes. Trust me, what
you see on the stage is only a fraction of how these performances come
together. That she has people like Janice, Bea, Pam and many others
at her side is testimony enough. But only with you (her wonderful, caring,
giving fans), does all of it have meaning. You are great. I mean that.

For those of you who will be going on the upcoming cruise, lucky you! It
will be a very special time together, and I do hope that you can all gather
to celebrate your one-ness. I salute you!

Right back at you, Jere. Thank you for the great post and all you did on Dave's Fund. The bookwork along must have taken many, many hours. You have touched many people with your work and with your caring. It is such a pleasure just to know you. (just to rub it in, I'm on my way to San Diego and the next cruise!)

The only thing that amazes me about the Diva is that every time she steps onto a stage, she raises the bar for herself and then surpasses all previous performances to the unbridled delight of her audiences.


Sallie, please keep me and all the other tethered landlubbers enthralled with reports of all the events on the Olivia cruise. Cheers and Bon Voyage to all of you....and color me green with envy.
