I see posts for Saturday and Sunday but not one for the Med Cruise. Time to update! As usual the high light of the cruise was the Diva's performance. The day before she had twisted her knee and was concerned she would not be able to do her best. BELIEVE ME SHE DID MORE THAT HER BEST! What a great show. Anyone that is searching for a complete vacation check out Olivia but be SURE the Diva is on the entertainment list. The other cruises are good; however, it is even better when she is on the entertainment. You who saw her over the weekend need to know she arrived home from the cruise, had one night's rest and then headed for the booking at the casino. Now how is that for dedication to her art? Three cheers for the DIVA! OK now, the rest of the Board members that were on the Med Cruise pitch in and let the rest of the group know what you thought of the trip. (esp Suede)

You have again summed up the sparkle that Diva provides in each performance. On the cruise she performed with a remarkably talented ship band, and per her usual, was gracious in sharing the stage with each of the band members, and the result was indeed special. The new songs were well received, and the old ones were still very loved. On the cruises, performers generally do two shows back to back so keeping the intensity at such a high level for those hours must really be exhausting.

Have to agree with Sallie about the quality of life on the Olivia Cruises. Every aspect of the 10 days was first class, and if one is fortunate enough to experience this, it will be long remembered.

Will have to add that Diva also shared performance time----sometimes impromptu---with Sweet Baby J'ai, Zoe Lewis, and the remarkable Roxanne Ward. The assemblage of talent was amazing!!!! Who knew that Vicki Shaw could sing? (Well, maybe.) The joy of watching these very talented women sharing music and fun was quite uplifting. Through it all, Suede was ever so gracious in spite of some very silly moments. To further illustrate her basic humanity, she even tried to assist some really awful singers on the last night aboard ship in the sometimes frightening "talent show". It was all done with good humor with quite a spirited audience.

The Diva does add grace, gentleness, and great affection to the performances, and we are blessed for her sharing. Such TALENT!!!

What a great trip and the entertainment was my main reason for being there. I was so grateful for the lineup, but anytime Suede is on, I'm going to try to be there. Spending some great time with Sallie (you are so fun to be with) made the pre-trip stay a real delight, as well as teaming up for reserving those front row seats during the cruise entertainment nights. I can't remember when I've enjoyed a cruise more than tht one. :) Nancy B
