Does anyone have any imformation about the 9 hole golf course in Guayabitos or in the vacinity?

There is a small, fairly new 9-hole golf course about 10 minutes away from Guayabitos. I can't remember the name but it translates to 'Field of Dreams', close to the town of Lo De Marco where the Decameron Los Cocos has their beach club. Last February, four of us did 9 holes, including club rental for 500 pesos - a real bargain by Mexican golf standards. The course is nothing special - mostly par 3, young trees, still under development but great fun for a bunch of Winnipeggers anxious to golf anywhere in February. Last year, Wednesday was Ladies day - ladies golf half price. We just rented one set of clubs and each carried a couple by hand. Very laid back, very accommodating owner, a small cantina on the premise. Or, if you're looking for something more serious, there's the Flamingos in Nuevo Vallarta - professional design, very expensive and about an hour away. Enjoy

From one Winnipegger to another thanks for the info, very useful. This will be our fifth time to Guayabitos. We havent been there since 2001 and they we just thinking about building it. We also have a game planned for Flamingos. Look forward to playing this year, never have since we been to the PV/Guayabitos area. And like you said golf in Feb for us who cares where we play. With the game of golf and fishing planned hitting every happy hour will be a chore. Thanks again. Perhaps we will run into oneanother one day during happy hour in Guayabitos.
