I'm still trying to get hold of an ex-Avon and Somerset Constabulary black rain jacket from the 1980s or 1990s period.
They had 'Police' woven on the front top pocket. The early versions had the officers number stitched onto the collar since they didn't have epaulettes. I don't think the later goretex versions from the 1990s had epaulettes either.
I'm keen to secure one for my Avon & Somerset collection before they're all gone forever.
I'm hoping someone still has one in a cupboard somewhere!
