BUTTON IDENTIFICATION

I am a newbie to collecting Police items and would be grateful if anyone could help with info. re. a button that I recently acquired (I can send scans if required).

The type I realise is typical of Victorian buttons - a crown with the words "Police Force" around edge. However, the crown is decidedly "flattened". I can find examples with a typical "Queen's Crown", but this appears to be of an earlier type associated with both early Victorian army badges and Hanoverian also. The back appears to be filled with looks like horn, into which the loop is fixed. It was dug in Cambridgshire I believe.
