I have just purchased a Derby Boro KC helmet plate which appears to have been chrome originally but has been painted black at some time in its career.
The paint has flaked off in alot of places but my question is was this normal practice to paint chrome badges for this force and should I strip it and repaint it. Any help wold be gratefully recieved.
