Does anyone know if the Somerset Constabulary wore a "star" design helmet badge (pre 52) or whether it was a oval design. I have what i believe is the full set of the Somerset/Avon and Somerset/ Bristol Constabulary helmet badges but dont want to mount them just yet just incase i'm missing that last one.

I'm still looking for a Bristol constabulary cap badge with the crest in the middle as well as a somersetshire cap badge if any one can help.

Yes Somersetshire did wear a star shaped helmet plate. During the period prior to 1952. There was also 3 wreath style. Photograph sent by seperate email.
