White piping on tunic collars

I am trying to obtain details of a group of officers from various Forces at what appears to be a Training College in the 1930's. The photo involved is only postcard size and of the 48 officers in the photo three appear to be from the old City of York Force. 3 others have a line of white piping around the bottom of their stand up tunic collars and I am wondering if anyone can advise what Force used this please? Of the 6 'instructors' in the photo all wear flat caps and one wears 3 stripes and the remainder 2 (like an Army corporal).
Any assistance greatly appreciated.
Peter

Re: White piping on tunic collars

Hi Peter,

A number of forces wore piping on the collars mainly some of the former forces from Hampshire areas including Hampshire, Isle of Wight, also Worcestershire just to name a few. Another force that wore piping was Huddersfield Borough. The fact that there are York City officers on the photo and it was a training centre, they could be from Huddersfield.

Regards, Jeff
