I have a wooden truncheon,it has its original leather strap and is just under 16" long(15 7/8"),with a 5 'ring' grip. There are no identifying marks. Is it possible to identify this?,age, who used it etc,to be honest I am just assuming it is a Police Forces truncheon,it may be another?.I have photographs which could be sent to an email address.THANK YOU, Chris
Re: Re: Re: 16" truncheon with leather strap ID help please
Hi Chris,
I missread your measurement and thought the truncheon was longer. I know that the standard sized truncheon issued to uniformed male officers was 15 inches. Looking at the picture theres seems to be some kind of marking?
