Re. PMCC Magazine 61 This helmet may look suspicious but as a retired Lancashire officer, I believe it is genuine as it looks identical to one I wore in the 80's - 90's; it replaced the cork helmets and is made of plastic/fibreglass with a thick sponge rubber moulding in the crown and the plastic insert for ventilation.
In fact this helmet may well still be in use with older officers as it is much lighter than the later reinforced 'riot' type, I wore mine until retirement only 3 years ago, which begs the question what is it doing on ebay which claims to only sell obsolete items!
