I am president of the Homer Historical Society, Homer Illinois, Ira Waggoner’s hometown. I am trying to find anything on his service for Volume II of the History of Homer Illinois.

What we have is very little on Ira’s service except for articles stating he was wounded. The citation would really help us.

I would like to know more of what he did in battle to earn the silver star.
