My family is associated with the villages of Biddestone and nearby Slaughterford. My gg grandmother Mary Ann Collett was born at Biddestone on the 2 March 1807 to William and Sarah Collett. Her siblings were Thomas Collett born in Biddestone on the 29 July 1811, John Collett on 15 March 1810, William Collett 30 Sept 1808. William and Sarah Collett were married at Biddestone about 1806, and William Snr was born at Biddestone about 1784. Elizabeth Collett born at Biddestone about 1676 could be related, but at the moment, I am still trying to make a family connection with her. She married Thomas Hillier at Biddestone on the 7 June 1696. I'd love to hear from anyone connected to my family or anyone who might have information about them.



I visited Biddestone way back when I was just 19 years old, but then when your that age you tend not to be too interested in your family heritage. I loved both villages and hope to visit again one day soon.
