Easter Egg Hunt???

Let me as this question, We strive to give our divers more fun things to enjoy while diving with us, so this idea has came to me. What other types of events can I bring to you, the diver, and the thought hit me, How about an underwater easter egg hunt? Now I know its kinda ticking down, but maybe I can come up with some kind of prizes. So I now bring this to you the divers for your opinion. Or if you have any ideas please share them. We strive to improve PSC Blue Springs each year in continuing to give you the best and safest diving experience we can. Thank you for making us your choice in local diving.

Re: Easter Egg Hunt???

Well, it would definately be different!

As a suggestion - How about a surface boat to learn/practice boat diving from/with?

Re: Easter Egg Hunt???

Here's another suggestion. How about a diving obsticle course? It would be a timed trial (maybe even grouped by age &/or sex) & call on navigation skills, precision buoyancy & other factors that are important skills for divers. You get to practice skills & have fun at the same time. Just a suggestion though.

Re: Easter Egg Hunt???

A hunt sounds cool to me. I agree with the boat idea as well. 'Coarse w/no waves, it would be a walk in the park compared to 3-4 ft. swells, but good practice none the less. Especially for newbies.

Re: Easter Egg Hunt???

Another interesting activity to try would be basket weaving under water.
People always cite easy classes in college as underwater basket weaving. We could give this a try and see how easy it actually is. Not sure where to get the basket kits though.

Re: Easter Egg Hunt???

Yeah - I've seen first hand that under water pumpkin carving isn't all that easy... just less mess!

Re: Easter Egg Hunt???

Here's a cheap place to buy basket weaving kits! 5 for $30.

Re: Easter Egg Hunt???

So I take it that we should try a underwater basket weaving contest. This sounds very interesting. my question is how long does it take, there is only a limited amount of air in the tanks. I bet it would be a challenge. anyone know how to weave a basket? lol I will check into this. also just another note we are working on a Bare drysuit demo weekend in Oct. this will be a free event that we and Bare will sponsor. The cost is going to be free to demo the suits however there will be the normal quarry fee. This is a work in progress I will keep this updated as time gets close.
Thanks

Re: Easter Egg Hunt???

It could make for an interesting narcosis test in the deep end.
