U.S.S. Oriskany Trip
Hey Everyone, We are now back at the quarry, this was one awesome trip. The Mighty O was a great dive, the boat ride out was a little long but well worth the wait. Visibility was about 90-110 ft. the water was warm, there was a thermo at 110ft but not bad at all. We got some great underwater video shots and everyone had a blast on the wreck. Made a total of two dives on it with the second dive being the best one I think. The dive shop took good care of us as we had 17 divers that joined us on it. Day two was good also. Had a little problem at the hotel but what can you expect from a Holiday Inn ha ha. Vortex was another grest dive. The crew there were very friendly, and the diving was good and cool. I see several divers in full suit with hood and gloves and thought to myself, it's sure is nice diving without it. We got several strange looks as we pulled in on a 45ft. bus, but at least we went in style. We will have a DVD of the entire trip available to all the divers that went, and copies will be available to purchase from the shop. Thanks to the crew at Bluewater Scuba that co sponsored this trip. All in all this was a great weekend trip that we suggest checking out. Congrats to Thomas Jordi and Kevin Hoffman on their first ocean dives and boat dives "if I forgot anyone else please let me know. We will be open labor day weekend Aug 30th thur Sept 4th. Thanks again to all the divers that dove with us on this trip and those who dove at PSC Blue Springs over the weekend. A special thanks to our staff who covered the management of Blue Springs in our absence. We will have pictures up on our site on the next update. Hey Steve, The DVD is almost done, there is 33 min of video, and several pics total time should end up being about 45 to 50 mins. They will be done by friday, I will send them out either fri or sat at the latest. |

Hey fellow divers, I am planning another bus trip to the Mighty O. This will be a 4 day trip leaving on a friday, Travel on friday and dive saturday & sunday. Travel on monday with maybe a dive at a quarry somehere in between. I should have prices after the first of the year. The hotel stay will be 3 nights. I need atleast 20 divers intersted for the best price. looking around $650.00 per diver and 350.00 non diver is the ballpark that I am trying to work in. I don't think I will be able to make it again this time. I did want to tell everbody that does plan on going to bring REAL food for the dive. When we went last time it was an all day trip. Once on the charter boat, it took about 3 hours to get to the dive site, then we dove and sat there for another 4 hours then it was another 3 hours back to land. I still had a good time, but we were all really hungry. |

Hey there fellow divers, Well here we are planning another Mighty O trip. Like I posted last year I have a cost of $750.00 This includes 3 nights hotel stay, two days on the Mighty O, Transportation to and from Fl. Two Tank per day. And we are going to include a Mighty O, t-shirt. I need at least 20 to book the bus. Deposit is $250.00 Per person. Non diver is $399.00. Food and drinks are not included. We will have some drinks and snacks on the bus. Please Let me know if intrested looking at August again.
