There is no reason to re-invent the wheel. If anyone were to do ACW sets, generic infantry, artillery and cavalry sets are the worst things to make. Most people interested in the subject are not going to replace their existing armies, which already limits your sales.
There are a number of specialized items that would sell, but ACW is not HaTs forte.
Naval Landing Party
Various Zouave units
Rebels in worn out uniforms
Iron Brigade
Western states soldiers
Berdan Sharpshooter
Plantation life
New York draft dodgers rioting
All these and more would be great ACW sets. But we need to lobby someone else to make them, so HaT can stick to what they know and do well. |
