you assume correctly - i'm based in Lancaster; its not too bad if you don't mind rain (actually that can be useful at times - "shall we go for a walk in the Lake District this weekend?" "looks like it'll rain; darn, i'll just have to stay in and paint little people..."
I take your point about the Grant reprint: that, and a series of articles in Miniature Wargames really got me interested in SYW. I'm rather hoping that someone will release some nice SYW stuff in 1/72 as, nice as many of the 28mm metals are, they're just too pricey for me.
