Message:   Hi Speedpainter,

I assume you are after metals compatible with 1/72 scale figures. In that case Stone Mountain is not a choice. They only do 15mm. If you are looking for cheap metals then look at RSM. For metals they are good value. Ask for the individual figure price list. I like the C1-022 figure advancing with the rifle slung over the right shoulder. I have a couple that I've added to, to get greatcoats (good for Fredericksburg). Kennington also do figures in greatcoats.

The following list is all the 20mm/1-72 scale metals that have been produced. (from what I've researched anyway)

Musket Miniatures (US: Artillery too small. not a fan of these figures)
http://www.musketminiatures.com/

Art Miniaturen (German: Lee on horse)

CP-Models (UK: had a master or two but have not gone into production)

Debbeler (German - no longer in production)

Fine Scale Factory (do some artillery pieces - expensive)

Hinton Hunt (US: out of production)

Irregular (UK: are a little small but the odd one or two mixed in are OK)

IT Figures (UK: out of production)

Jacklex (UK: sold through Spencer Smith, Artillery is accurate for this scale)

KF Miniaturen (German: Artillery & crew, nice but expensive)

Kennington (UK: Sold through SHQ. On the bulkier side. Match ok with Italeri, reasonable price)

Minifig-S (UK: no longer in production)

Newline Designs (UK: reasonable price. slightly smaller than Kennington but of the same bulk, reasonable price)

Outland Games (US: now with GFI. Moulds still being redone. Haven't got any yet)

Qualiticast (UK: no longer in production)

RSM95 (US: little smaller but mix in fine. Cheap for metals.)

Tumbling Dice (UK: Very bulky. Come with separate heads, reasonable price)

Scruby (US, 25mm figures - out of production)

Srgt's Mess (old SHQ) (UK: reasonable price, fit well with all plastics)

Thomas (US, on the small scale, wouldn't recommend)

Woodensfeld (German: out of production)

Knight Designs (UK: out of production)

Rose (UK: out of production)

Field of Battles (UK: out of production)

RAFM (US: only for the artillery and limbers. very good match for 1/72 scale)
