Message:		Thanks Malcolm, yes the debt collecting expedition by Frtance was during the reign of Emperor Napoleon III between 1851 (if I recall the start of his reign correctly) and 1871. The expedition to Mexico was in that period. Whether the Mexicans still used round hatted cavalry then I know not.
