hi steve
i'm totally with you on this, there's a whole generation out there who have never heard of Wesencraft, Featherstone, Grant, Bath, Wise and Asquith (not to mention H.G.Wells) who started my generation wargaming way back in the mists of time when the games were FUN and there were no reams of factor tables to cause endless arguments
Best recent set in my opinion are Fire and Fury and it's variants for mid 19th century
don't know if you've seen a magazine "Battlegames" this is old school style of mag, great articles and pictures
and there's a whole raft of blogs on 18th century warfare in the style of Grant
don't you mean "Blanco" instead of "Brasso"?
