Thurs. am - any one gettin' out there?

I was at the lighthouse this morning from 6:30- 7 am.
The buoy was read 2.6 ft when I left the house. It was just on the edge of being 'surfable' when I got there. The sets were about knee high. It would have been enough to push fatty for a short ride. I bailed on going out. I felt rushed, torn between getting suited up, paddling around and trying to surfing small waves or heading into work. As I was leaving the sets did look like they were picking up. The buoy has been on steady rise, so there are some waves to ride if you have the time.
Let us know if you get some.

Re: Thurs. am - any one gettin' out there?

Got out with Pete south of the boarded to score some fun little zippy lefts first time back on Bluebee and without the hassles of the knee brace on and felt like no other doing my turns again and a few floaters just loved the 2 plus hour session with wave after wave for me an Pete with not another soul in sight for days back to the same almost and felt great. I could really tell that the water levels had came up because the last time we surfed there you could see the rocks at the end of the wall and now u cant, I think it will break a lot better now then befor and probably the same for other spots. Just checked it again before Pete dropped me off and it is way bigger right out front then befor we left this a.m at 6:30. TW try to get out after work if you can it will still be there and I will give you a call later. A nice pre 4th of July surf,B

Surfed the local beachie this morning just as the orange ball was half way up. Glaassssy waist, occasional stomach stayed clean for about an hour, then vanished. Checked again around noon bigger but not as clean. Nice pitchy waves on the thigh high sandbar, made for some good dunking. Gotta love getting a double session after a long sad June.

Just what the doctor ordered on Thursday. We were all getting really grumpy.I wish I didn't have to drive so far but it was sooo clean. All of the breaks up in my hood were closeouts and super small. Now of course on sunday,I'll probably drive to catch little dribblers again.I'll never learn.....

Re: Thurs. am - any one gettin' out there?

I never learn.Opie and I scored some fun little waist high waves up Norte on sunday. We met a local named named Justin(hey! aloha) and there was one other guy out(maybe F.Bolt?).Very nice little waves, easy to catch.Beautiful weather, cool water, and a sub from Fatzos after the session.Wave of the day goes to Opie on a left that he rode in the pocket doing a Strauch 5 backside dragging his back hand pet the cat style for the last 10 seconds of the ride.Good to meet Justin,a legit in-town local(proving yet another theory of mine wrong).Any time you want to come South Justin, just call me up (414)403-9454.We'll roll out the red carpet.I hope everyone had a great weekend, and if you didn't at least I hope you got some rest because I am definitely going to be suffering tomorrow.
