Deep Tunnel Project
Usually we always read how Milwaukee is the ruler of dumping raw sewage into OUR lake, but i just finished reading in the paper a couple days ago, how Racine actually placed 2nd, these past big storms. I believe Racine had 11.11 million or billion gallons of untreated sewage, to Milwaukee's 5. ?? we will just round up and say 6... that is just crazy.... Either way, it doesn't really matter who dumped more, the problem lies with just dumping anything into our lake. Sure our water levels are down, except with Superior- which is back on track now, but I would much rather see our lake filled back up with some H20, versus trying to bring our levels back with raw sewage....It really sucks having to sit back and watch our beautiful resource go to hell, all in the name of the mighty dollar...... well at least they haven't started charging us with how many rides we got per session or anything remotely close to that....that will be next on the governments list of ways to fix there big boo boo of a mistake deep tunnel project! Hopefully they will charge up the shortboards first...hahahaa j/k.. I wouldn't wish that upon any surfer..... Alrighty then, forgive me for venting on a topic that i am not pleased with...I am sick and tired of our lake being a public tiolet! |

Sounds like the Mid West is turning into the West Coast by all th dumpings, I have had serious infections from surfing HB and when I moved out here that was one thing I liked was that the water was a lot cleaner then the ocean, very sad and disturbing to see the people treat our waters this way but heck they dont surf so why would they care that is the feeling I get all the time when I see tons of cigerete buts being thrown out of peoples cars all the time here in Racine and seeing tons more down on North Beach, just sad and I guess this is the majority of how people think aound the world. Sad I guess they were not brought up right. |

I couldn't agree more with all the careless people that smoke, and think our mother earth is their ashtray. Even worse our beaches their ashtray. If common sense were so common, we wouldn't have this. It's like why get married if your going to cheat. I realize it's like comparing apples to oranges, but morally it's wrong, just like dumping your smokes out the window, or at the beach. Even if you take a trip far away from your wife and meet up with your ex~where no one will know, it's just wrong. There are to many self righteous types out there, with way too many skeletons in their closets, that want to represent the people, that were not "brought up right"
