Great Lakes Compact signing in Wisconsin
Last week, the Great Lakes Compact, the bill that will protect Great Lakes waters from being diverted to far-flung destinations like Las Vegas and Arizona, passed the Senate 32-1 and the Assembly 96-1. Next week, Governor Doyle will sign this historic bill into law. As a citizen who has followed this issue for the last two years and has fought to protect the Great Lakes and everything they mean to Wisconsinites, you should be there! There will be signing events in Milwaukee and Green Bay on TUESDAY. If you plan on attending, you must RSVP to nathan.franklin@wisconsin.gov .
