Dangerous Mood" Rocks

I am one of the fortunate people to have heard the rough mix with vocals
of the "Dangerous Mood" CD. And I am just saying, brace yourselves! Suede
has NEVER sounded better. Her voice simply soars throughout. And for those
of us who have longed to hear her with a big band sound, our dream is
reality. Janice Friedman's arrangements are flat out amazing — each
tailored to the specific song and using the wonderfully talented musicians
and their respective instruments to fullest advantage. The core trio (Janice
on piano, Tim Horner on percussion and Bill Moring on bass) are the
heart and soul of every tune, but the songs that feature the full band will
simply blow you away. Dave Kowalski, the engineer at Bennett Studios, is
doing a magnificent job, and he completely "gets" every subtlety and
intonation. Suede's trumpet solos are crystalline.

The roof fairly trembles on many of the songs — "Let Me Love You,"
"Dangerous Mood," "Defying Gravity," "New Coat of Paint," "You Can
Leave Your Hat On," and David Pearl's stirring "No Goin' Back." "Do It
Again" is a playful teaser, "I Like to Lead" is swank and sophisticated,
"Teach Me Tonight" moves from a gentle opening to a fully realized
finish, "Never Neverland" and "Love and Regret" will break your heart.
"Here's to Life" will be recorded next week, so stay tuned.

This release has real Grammy potential and can put Suede solidly in
the mainstream of the music industry where she has so long deserved
to have a presence. I cannot convey clearly enough how incredibly
proud I am of this magnificent piece of work and of all the organization
and attention to detail by everyone involved — most particularly the
hugely talented and hard working Diva herself. Trust me on this. You will
all be wearing great big grins with your ears pinned back. This is the
real deal!

WOO-HOO! What a magnificent preview of "Dangerous Mood" that makes it even more difficult to remain patient for its release! I am so-o-o glad and grateful that "Here's To Life" is going to be on the CD as it certainly has such special meaning in my life and always will. My heartfelt thanks to Suede for including it on her new CD.

I think I can speak for many of the Diva Devotees out here in cyberspace when I say that we are all ready to place advance orders and make contributions just as soon as Team Suede posts the "how to" information for us to do so.

So, sound the trumpet and we will answer the call!

N'Orleans "Newbies"

Re: Dangerous Mood" Rocks

Warmest and most hospitable southern greetin's to y'all! My wife and I happened upon Suede's "Live at Scullers" show on our PBS station last night and were completely shocked that we'd never heard such an incredible talent as hers before! We spent quite a bit of time reading up on her here, wanting to devour everything we could find, and can't imagine how on earth she has not been "discovered" by some big music industry person yet. She is the REAL DEAL and we've been serious music fans all our lives, since both being born and raised in New Orleans more years ago than I care to disclose. The fact that she has sculpted the career she has on her own is terribly impressive. We're both also musicians and have a good idea what that takes. We couldn't do it like she has and we're pretty good players, too. The good news is, we found her now, will spread the news and eagerly await the new CD which sounds like exactly how her powerful spirit, presence and voice should be accompanied, not that it needs any of that, mind you. The real deal stands alone. Anything more is just embellishment. So glad we've joined the band wagon.

Re: Dangerous Mood" Rocks

Welcome! I'm writing to tell you about the fabulous Jazz/Blues Diva. My Dad was a jazz piano player in the 1950's and 1960's and I grew up around some of the great jazz giants. Seeing Suede live and hearing her incredible scatting definitely brings me back to the great talent from years ago!

Suede's crystal clear voice and amazing range blend perfectly with her very talented paino and bass players, Janice and Max. If you get a chance to catch a live show grab it, as they are truly phenomenal! I totally believe this will be Suede's decade!

Let Suede know if you know of a venue that would love to have her in New Orleans!

Take care, Cyndi

Re: Dangerous Mood" Rocks

we just put the finishing touches on the cover design, the final mixes are off to the mastering engineer and we're really close to getting this out to the world. after listening to it about 5000 times in the last many months I had not heard it in a few days. however, I had it playing today as I did some of the last pieces of production work and I gotta say, it's FUN. I hope you like it, too. I think you will, my peeps. wowie.
