Message:   This morning following the worship - wonderful music as usual - I should have shared a vivid picture I had, but somehow, from laziness possibly, I let the moment pass. It was not until I was listening to Andy's inspiring talk about his experience of and thoughts on healing, that I realised it was part of that morning's communication from the Lord.. So here goes:
I was standing, unusually, right against the back wall, and so able to have sight of everyone who was there. We were being led in the song which tells of God creating the stars in space and at the same time holding us in his embrace.I got a strong sense of how people were opened up to receive God's great love for them, and this was showing up in a star-studded cloak, the same for every single person, which came from above to settle around them.
As I was driving home (following some very caring enquiries and offers from Bridgers as I was waiting in the car park to be rescued by the AA - but that's another story!!)I was pondering God's description to Job of how he was the Creator of the universe,... when "the morning stars sang together..." etc. It never fails to bowl me over when I think of the God of magnificent greatness as also caring so tenderly as to embrace us all, 'warts and all'! He clothes us with signs of his love which we should wear with confidence and an assurance of victory over the enemy.
