Message:   Maybe your side-kick is not polishing at all or she is not detail-oriented. Or, to give her the benefit of the doubt, maybe she is, but doesn't know how to polish properly and she doesn't know what she is doing. Sorry to be a bummer. Your front desk lady is the one who should be worrying about the patient's account. That's not your job. She should have collected whatever was owed up front before you saw the patient and scheduling his next appt. Whatever. These things are what makes our job stressful. Hope are able to get these things smoothed out in a tactful manner. It is hard not stepping on toes. Have a good weekend and hope next week is a bit better for you.
